Traveled there from Ontario and every staff member was bilingual which was amazing. Beautiful spacious room, building exterior was beautiful old architecture, and the location was perfect for many attractions. Stayed for the weekend in January (-20*) and walked everywhere with no issues. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay again.

The service was excellent, the staff were all very kind, attentive, and greeted us every time we entered. The room was large, and clean, the bed was comfortable, there were 1.5 baths, it was like an apartment. The concierge email was also super responsive. We bought our room through the Black Friday discount and we would really loved it!

The most outstanding facet of this hotel is their staff. They are unanimously friendly, helpful and responsive. Our dinner in the Bistro was outstanding. Try the duck! The room was very nice but the lighting is all on one side. Bare wood floors were a surprise but I liked them. I do wish they used top sheets. The location was excellent. I’d definitely stay there again.

Wow what a pleasant experience,we spent 4 days at this hotel and felt like we were at home . I wanted to start off with the warm and friendly stuff , always smiling and so attentive ensuring our needs were fulfilled I mean the did run the extra mile no exceptions. The 701 Brasserie on the main level it’s an absolute gem , upscale restaurant with a strong Parisienne vibe, quality it’s excellent whether you go for breakfast or dinner, we didn’t go anywhere else during our stay because this restaurant it’s hard to be beat. There is a Japanese cuisine restaurant as well also amazing! Rooms are very clean , beds are comfortable and linens meet the high standards of a 5 stars hotel. There is a gym with the newest equipment and a spa ,that’s why you will be welcome from the smell of sandalwood as soonest you walk into the hotel !!! Across the street from the Notre Dame Cathedral, this hotel is strategically located the heart of Old Montreal and many touristic places are within walking distance. If you ever visit Montreal , Place Des Armes it’s probably your best option if you’re looking for comfort, quality and unforgettable moments.

My fiancée and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Hotel Place D'Armes for 6 nights and we can say that there is no other hotel in the city of Montreal that can win our business for the rest of time. From the moment we stepped into the building, we were met by Soso who was personable, kind and made us feel immediately welcome. Soso gave us a tour of the hotel, the various restaurants and showed us to our room. Over the first few days, she checked on us multiple times to see if we needed anything, and also had room service with champagne sent to us with a hand written note that really meant the world. We never got to say goodbye but we appreciated everything she did for us! The room was neat, clean, and the bed was by far the best sleeping experience we have ever had in a hotel. We both have issues getting good rest during our past hotel stays and were amazed at how well we slept the entire visit. When we needed something, we often dealt with Arezo and Elodie at the front desk, who were both incredibly kind, sweet and helpful (especially after the magnets in my airpods case wiped my room key, multiple times), assisted us with everything we needed. Part of our Montreal trip was for a Visa appointment, and by the end of the trip they were the first ones we saw and both immediately asked about the results. Truly amazing humans that we appreciated very much. Both restaurants in the hotel are fantastic. We often attended Brasseire 701 in the morning for breakfast and ate at Kyo Bar Japonias twice. My fiancée and I made quick friends with Melissa, she was incredibly pleasant to be around, we were so disappointed we didn't get to say goodbye but if she ever sees this, we hope to see you in California soon!!! Special shoutout to Gavin as well who came in clutch multiple times! Near the end of the trip, we had a sudden leak in our bathroom. Nothing major considering the building is well over 100 years old. The front desk immediately sent their maintenance team to look, and upon inspection, it was determined it would be a while to repair, and almost immediate after the front desk was called, and offered to upgrade us free of charge to a larger suite, as well as offering to assist with moving bags and packing. We declined cause we were leaving the following day, and had to start packing anyway but it was another example of the amazing, quality service we experienced. Ricardo personally helped us get to our new suite, gave us a tour of our new room and helped move bags into the new room. Afterwards, he had another round of room service sent with champagne with a hand written note. He was incredibly easy going and much like Soso, made sure we had everything we needed for our last night. Truthfully, we didn't want to leave by the end. We felt so spoiled by the whole staff, it was an amazing experience that I very much look forward to when we visit Montreal again. There is not another hotel I would ever consider staying at. Finally, special shoutout to Ale, you're an amazing person, we're so appreciative of you and hope you can get out of the cold as soon as possible!!!!

Really Great hotel! Staff were really friendly and the concierge was really helpful in suggesting local restaurants and things to see! Located basically opposite the Notre Dame cathedral with a subway station right behind it is situated in a very good location. We had 3 people (dad and 2 sons) in our double room and they were great about providing another bed so we didn’t have to share.

Our first night in Montreal could not have been more perfect, and Hotel Place d’Armes played a huge role in that. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt warm, welcoming, and genuinely homey, exactly what you hope for during Christmas week. The hotel is absolutely stunning, from the exterior to the rooms. Every detail feels intentional and cozy without being cold or impersonal. The service was exceptional across the board. Valet, guest services, room service, and the front desk staff were all kind, attentive, and made the entire check-in and check-out process seamless. We were even surprised with a complimentary room upgrade when we return later in the week, which made our stay feel extra special. Thank you, Alejandra!

We have only been home a few days and we already missing you! A beautiful place but it was truly the staff that made our 5 night stay so enjoyable! The restaurant by far was one of our favorite spots in the city; dinner, brunch and late night stop in for chartrutrie boards were all excellent and again the staff we met were just fabulous! We are already looking forward to coming back and, yes, this time in the summer ;).
